Ingredients

Wontons

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 zucchini shredded/grated
  • 3 carrots shredded/grated
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 T hoison sauce
  • 1 T oyster sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ t ground ginger
  • ½ t white pepper or black pepper if you don't have it
  • 1 package wonton wraps
  • canola or vegetable oil

Tomato Chutney

  • 2 T olive oil
  • ½ red onion diced
  • 5 tomatoes cubed
  • t tumeric
  • t garlic powder
  • ¾ t salt
  • ¾ t paprika
  • ½ t cumin
  • ¼ t mustard powder
  • t onion powder
  • t black pepper

Instructions

Pork Wontons

  • Brown the ground pork in a pan. This usually takes about 10 minutes.
  • Add the shredded zucchini and carrots. Combine.
  • Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ground ginger, and white pepper. Combine and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Let cool.
  • Wrap in the wonton wrappers.
  • Heat your canola or vegetable oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. I typically just do a light layer of it to cover the bottom of the pan. Alternatively, you can boil them for about 2 minutes.
  • Add your wontons to the pan and fry for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they're golden brown. Watch them closely as they fry fast!
  • Repeat until all wontons are cooked.

Tomato Chutney

  • Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the red onion and cook until golden brown. About 10 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes. Let them cook down for another 10 minutes. The tomatoes should fall apart and all of their juices should come out.
  • Add the turmeric, garlic powder, salt, paprika, cumin, mustard powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Combine.
  • Using an immersion blender, food processor, or normal blender (whatever you have on hand to blend food), blend everything in the saucepan together until it's completely smooth.
  • Serve with the wontons.
