Earl Grey Tea Lavender Cookies

The flavors of earl grey tea and lavender are subtle and perfect. A summertime cookie you'll be reaching for over and over again.
Servings 12 cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 4 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 t culinary lavender
  • ½ t salt
  • ½ t baking powder
  • ¼ t baking soda
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • In a food processor or spice grinder, grind down your earl grey tea and culinary lavender until it's a powder.
  • Sift together the flour, earl grey tea, lavender, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • You can do the remainder of the recipe using a stand mixer or by hand.
  • Beat together the sugar and butter for 3 minutes.
  • Add the egg and vanilla and combine.
  • Add the dry ingredient mix ¼ cup at a time until completely combined.
  • Roll the dough into 1-2 tablespoon sized balls and place them about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 13 minutes.
