Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a food processor or spice grinder, grind down your earl grey tea and culinary lavender until it's a powder.
Sift together the flour, earl grey tea, lavender, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
You can do the remainder of the recipe using a stand mixer or by hand.
Beat together the sugar and butter for 3 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla and combine.
Add the dry ingredient mix ¼ cup at a time until completely combined.
Roll the dough into 1-2 tablespoon sized balls and place them about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 13 minutes.
