Pork Bao
This recipe is for a new variation of bao that involves pork. The actual cooking of the pork is quick and easy and can also be used in stir-fries, banh mi, and other Asian dishes!

This sauteed Asian pork can be used in a variety of dishes. In the notes, I will link the recipe I already have on my website for making the bao buns!
Ingredients
Pork
- 2-3 pounds pork shoulder cubed
- 3 T vegetable oil
- 1 T ginger
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 T rice wine vinegar
- 1 T sugar
Pork Glaze
- 1 T vegetable oil
- salt
- pepper
- 1 T gochujang or other spicy Asian alternative such as sriracha or chili paste
- 2 T honey
- 2 T brown sugar
- 3 T soy sauce
- lemon juice splash
Instructions
- Add all of the pork ingredients to a pan and fry until the pork is cooked through.
- Mix the glaze ingredients in a seperate suacepan and heat until it's mixed thoroughly.
- Add the glaze to the pork pan and cook the pork in the glaze for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble the bao and garnish with whatever you like!
