Light Pea Pasta
This is my ‘we need to go grocery shopping but I’m hungry but I also don’t want to eat junk and I want something not heavy but I also want something delicious but I also don’t really have time to cook’ meal. There are only a few ingredients and they’re very light and basic but there’s something about the simplicity in this that makes it a showstopper. I hope you enjoy.
Light Pea Pasta
Your new light, simple, go-to Summer pasta.
Ingredients
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 T canola oil
- ½ onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 15 oz. can peas
- ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
- ¼ t salt
- ¼ t pepper
- pasta noodles
Instructions
- Start cooking your pasta noodles.
- Heat the olive oil and canola oil in a pan over low/medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and saute for 5-10 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the peas and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the basil, salt, and pepper. Combine.
- Add your pasta noodles and enjoy!
